Stephen Walker

Member at Large - Conference Assistant

Stephen Walker is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) and an Associate professor in the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at St. Cloud State University. Before joining St. Cloud in Fall 2022, Dr. Walker served on the faculty at Northern Illinois University and Aurora University. His research and clinical work has focused on individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities (ID), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and emotional behavior disorders. This work has taken place in various settings ranging from large state institutions to public schools.

Throughout his career, he has been an active member of the local, regional, and national behavior analytic community. He is the past president of the Illinois Association of Behavior Analysis, current president of the Mid-American Association for Behavior Analysis, a Member of Division 25 of the American Psychological Association (APA), and a Full Member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International. Being new to Minnesota, he is incredibly excited to be part of the Minnesota Northland Association for Behavior Analysis as a Board Member (Member at Large: Conference Assistant).

The member at large - conference assistant's role at MNABA:

The member at large - conference assistant currently serves 2-year terms. The member at large - conference assistant reports to the conference director and completes assigned tasks required to bring you our annual conference. To fulfill the requirements of this board position, this board member attends all conference committee meetings and full board meetings. The member at large - conference assistant is also responsible for assisting with CEUs, assisting with membership tracking, coordinating with relevant parties to assist in planning the  conference, and assisting with conference activities during the conference. The member at large - conference assistant is elected on even years (e.g., 2024, 2026, 2028, etc.).
